Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre is a community recreation facility that consists of a pool, a 1,200 seat NHL size arena that also serves as an event facility. Nustadia Recreation Inc. (Nustadia) was hired in July 2019 to provide an operational review and interim management services for this facility.
Highlights of the operational review consisted of:
A new staffing model that reduced staffing costs by approximately $150,000 per year,
In partnership with TRAK International, conducted an energy audit and when recommended retrofits are completed, will save the facility $140,000 on energy costs,
In partnership with LEADCo. – an Atlantic Canada event buying group, developed and established and event strategy for the facility,
Partnership with other Atlantic Canada community event facilities to bulk purchase touring shows, concerts, and events,
Implemented strategies to increase overall facility revenues,
Facility “Best Practices Document” and a Building & Equipment Life-cycle Plan.
