Nustadia Recreation Inc. (NRI) and Wright Construction (with aodbt Architects and A49 Architects) were successful in a design build operate proposal that incorporated a significant fund raising component as well as a guaranteed maximum development cost in order to assist the University in the capital requirement.
Merlis Belsher Place is a twin-pad ice arena and double gymnasium located at the University of Saskatchewan. It is comprised of a 90 ft. by 200 ft., 2,700-seat, spectator arena and one 300-seat community NHL sized arena, a double gymnasium, dressing and meeting rooms, concessions, fitness centre and sports medicine research area. This $43 M facility houses the University varsity hockey, basketball, and soccer team’s offices (men’s and women’s) and is home venue to Huskies Hockey.
