Pitt Meadows

In the fall of 2010 the City of Pitt Meadows advertised for established recreation facility operators to submit bids to operate its three-pad ice surface. The City’s bid evaluation committee reviewed the many bids that were received and after a detailed review selected Nustadia Recreation Inc. (NRI) to operate the facility. The City entered into a long-term agreement with NRI who began operation of the facility on May 1, 2011.

Pitt MeadowsThe facility was undergoing a total renovation at the time that NRI commenced operations and management. This renovation, costing over 8 million dollars, continued until January 2012. During this time the facility remained in fully operational. Upgrades for this 91,090 square foot state of the art recreational facility included a spacious, modernized, and improved lobby, change rooms, offices, a renovated second floor including a multipurpose room with ample additional space to create additional meeting space and/or recreational program space, and a food and beverage area. One of the greatest improvements to the facility includes upgrades to the mechanical system. These upgrades include many energy efficiencies to reduce energy consumption and green house gases, which will assist in reducing the carbon footprint of the facility.

The Pitt Meadows Arena Complex is a true community recreational facility. Our talented and innovative staff works tirelessly to ensure that the community has input into the programs and services that are offered. We are home to many organized sporting organizations and leagues and offer in-house recreational programs such as sport camps, sport skill clinics, and leagues to maximize use of the facility by the community.
