Campus Ice Centre

Officially opened in September 2005, the Campus Ice Centre is one of the premier ice-skating facilities in Ontario. The 70,000 SF facility provides users of all ages and genders with available ice time throughout the year. It is anticipated that over 400,000 users will frequent the building, primarily between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Campus Ice CentreThe Campus Ice Centre is located on the modern campus of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and Durham College, situated in Oshawa and managed successfully by Nustadia’s operations team. The Centre houses two NHL size ice pads. The main pad includes spectator seating for 500 people. User groups that include College/University teams, minor hockey associations and the Oshawa Figure Skating Club are the main tenants of the arena, but the Centre also hosts major hockey tournaments, camps, schools and other events.

The facility includes a 3,000 SF full service restaurant and a retail sports shop that is recognized throughout the GTA as one of the premier skate sharpening services. Nustadia Recreation Inc. in partnership with DC/ UOIT is committed to keeping the Campus Ice Centre one of Ontario’s premier facilities.

Campus Ice CentreThe Campus Tennis Centre (CTC) is located on the grounds of the ever growing Durham College and UOIT campuses. With six (6) year round indoor clay tennis courts in a climate controlled environment the CTC is home to the Oshawa Tennis Club and students of both Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). The CTC has a 2000 SF patio for excellent viewing of all 6 courts along with a clubhouse to service its players. The clubhouse has locker rooms, a full pro shop, reception area and a comfortable lounge with a television.

With ample free parking just steps from our front door this is an incredible facility to host major tennis events. In 2009 the CTC hosted the Ontario University Championships along with our yearly hosting of the Durham Regional Senior Games. We also host the Durham Region High School Championships each year. In the summer of 2010 we are hosting the Provincial Senior Games Tennis Championships. The CTC has 6 tennis coaches that work year round to make your tennis experience an enjoyable one.
